The Ford Conservation Center is a division of History Nebraska which provides conservation assessment and mitigation of historic artifacts.  This masonry structure built in 1995 is experiencing accelerated deterioration of the original exterior masonry surfaces.  The project will include the removal of masonry chimneys and the relocation of laboratory exhaust fans located within the chimneys.  Reconstruction of the facades where the chimneys will be removed will utilize brick salvaged from the chimneys.  Other areas of the exterior will have some masonry repointing, and essentially all movement joints will be resealed.
