Restoration

Cheyenne Airport Fountain Restoration

In 2017, Berggren Architects was retained to restore the fountain on the grounds of the Cheyenne Regional Airport. This historic Art Deco fountain, a donation from Boeing Aviation, was originally designed, fabricated, and constructed by the Denver Terra Cotta Company in 1935.

To meet budget constraints, the project is being completed in phases. Phase one, the restoration of the fountain bowls to be watertight, as well as the restoration of its plumbing and lighting system, was completed in 2020. The City of Cheyenne is currently raising funds to initiate phase two in the near future, which will be restoring the terra cotta masonry.
