Mt. Olive Lutheran Church

Scope of Work

Berggren Architects provided an original design for the building.

Location

Lincoln, NE

History

Built in 1994 and designed by Berggren Architects.

Completion

This project was completed in 1994.

The Challenge

Berggren Architects was retained by the congregation of the Mount Olive Lutheran Church to design a new church located at the corner of 81st street and Holdrege in Lincoln. Before beginning our schematic design for this church, we completed an extensive program.

The Strategy

We met with members of the congregation bi-weekly for four months to gain an understanding of their needs and goals. These meetings have proved invaluable to designing the church. We were able to pinpoint areas which serve multiple needs as well as isolate other areas which are of individual importance while maintaining the budget of the congregation.

The Results

The first phase of construction was completed in the fall of 1994.
