Formerly the Nebraska City Elks Club, this building was renovated to house a coalition of various social services including Health and Human Service, Work Force Development, the Otoe County Veteran’s Affairs Offices, and other family and children supporting agencies. In order to ensure we met the needs of the tenants, Berggren Architects collaborated with the eleven individual agencies to create a thorough understanding of their specific spatial requirements.

Renovating almost 17,000 sq. ft. of interior space into offices and meeting rooms, this endeavor required a complete rework of all of the plumbing, mechanical, and electrical systems. A roof replacement was in order. In addition, exterior concrete paving was required to make certain handicap accessibility was provided.
