Additional Info

Museums throughout the Nation are eligible for the Conservation Assessment Program (CAP), a grant opportunity offered by Heritage Preservation, an American non-profit organization founded in 1973.  The National Conservation Advisory Council was funded by the National Museum Act of the Smithsonian Institution to survey national needs.  It later became the National Institute for the Conservation of Cultural Property in 1982.  The name later became, Heritage Preservation.  Performing this assessment is often times the threshold requirement for other grants available from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.

Berggren Architects have been working with this program from its inception.
