Master craftsman and stonemason Nigel Copsey presents “Rediscovering Traditional Mortars – The More Sustainable Solution.” This workshop teaches the importance of “like for like” strategies for repairing mortar joints in masonry structures. It also instructs participants on how to properly utilize and apply Quicklime mortar. This workshop was organized by the Nebraska Masonry Alliance and History Nebraska, and was held at the Wayne County Courthouse in Nebraska.

Phase One Restoration on Historic Fountain Complete
The first phase of restoration on the City of Cheyenne’s historic water fountain, located at Cheyenne Regional Airport, is now complete. The waterproofing on the upper bowl and the tile on the lower bowl of the fountain were replaced after spalling occurred due to exposure to many Cheyenne winters. After years of sitting idle, the city plans to revive use of the fountain once again.
